Butler's Lives of the Saints was originally published in 1759 by the English Catholic priest, Alban Butler. It is an encyclopedia of saints which has been continually updated and published in many editions. Here we present the Google Book version of the 1866 Butler's Lives of the Saints published by James Duffy in Dublin, Ireland. Saints are sorted according to month and day by the pre-Vatican II Roman calendar. Volumes 5(May) and 11(November) are not yet available online.
